Squabble FAQ

Has COVID-19 delayed the courts?

Nationwide courts are overwhelmed with a backlog of cases. Every part of the justice system is trying to catch up from the closures and limited services. Court operations were restricted considerably during the pandemic. This has significantly impacted court schedules.

As States begin to re-open, more court services are becoming available. Once the courts are caught up, there will be a significant reduction in waiting times. Until the pandemic is under control, expect a bit of a delay in the court’s acceptance of your filing and the scheduling of your court date. This is because courts had to prioritize criminal cases first and will now be catching up on civil and small claims cases. Squabble continuously monitors your filing status and provides you with repeated updates so that you know just where you are in the process.
